About the farm

For 100 years, five generations of the Jonkers family have farmed the land situated near Bethells Beach on Auckland’s West Coast. Just thirty minutes from Auckland's CBD (or eight minutes by helicopter), lies 540 acres of isolated paradise. Jonkers Farm boasts views of both the East and West coasts including Muriwai Beach, Bethells Beach, Kaipara Harbour, Auckland City and the Sky Tower. 

Jonkers Farm continues to operate as a sheep and cattle farm carrying approximately 1000 beautiful Romney sheep and 100 Black Angus cattle. During the summer we also bale upto 10,000 conventional hay bales. Since the early 90’s we have diversified into and are a global destination for film, weddings, corporate events and events. 

Renowned for its incredibly beautiful wilderness, Jonkers Farm is home to the iconic Puketotara Pa site, a fully operational airstrip and vintage 1940’s woolshed, diverse scenery of rolling hills, waterfalls, natural waterways, native bush, woodland, a wide range of vistas, flat land, vintage farm buildings and previous set builds. This makes Jonkers Farm the ideal backdrop for film and events. 

Jonkers Farm has endless opportunities and is one of a kind. Often likened to Jurassic Park by film crews and wedding guests. Jonkers Farm remains family owned and operated.
